About Us

We are registered and practising electricians, focused in the heavy welding industry, and have been established for over seventeen years. Our work consists of servicing industrial plants in and around Auckland, particularly Penrose, operating from utility service vehicles for on- site troubleshooting and diagnostics. Small or large- we do it all.

NZ Welder Repair Services specialises in welder repair for most types of welders. From small inverters, to large generators; we have a crane, and fork hoist available on site to move your welders on or off your vehicle as required. We can also courier or carrier to anywhere without New Zealand if pick up or drop off is unavailable to you.

Our agencies with Lincoln, Cigweld, Hugong, Strata, Weldtech, Kemppi, and BOC allow us to service machines anywhere in the greater part of Auckland, and all over NZ. We maintain one of the best levels of knowledge; from courses we attend, provided by the major agencies, and our extensive knowledge base.

Staff

Rod Rugg- Rod is the general manager of NZ Welder Repairs, and can usually be reached at the workshop, or on his cellphone when on call. He has an expertise with all manner of machinery, and is the founder of both Rugg Electrical and NZ Welder Repairs Services Ltd. Rod is also a registered electrician

Bobbie Rugg- Bobbie is the wife of Rod, and a Director of NZ Welder Repair Services. Bobbie is the receptionist, and is in charge of invoicing.

Susan Rugg- Warranties, Accounts, Appliance testing coordinator, Hire coordinator.

Bill Clark- Spare parts coordinator

History

In June 1998, we relocated to our new workshop at Unit 4, 5 Portage Rd in New Lynn. It has given us more room and the ability for better equipment. We have the facilities to overhaul major diesel generating plants. In August 2002, our contract with Lincoln Electric Co as their main field service shop includes repairs to machines from all over New Zealand, the supplier of spare parts in NZ, and the sale of their consumables. We have and will travel over the best part of New Zealand to repair all leading brands of welding machinery.
